A community gift shop showcasing products from local artists and Maskwacis heritage.
Nipsis Collective is both the name of the gift shop and a brand of social-enterprise gift ware, home décor, packaged indigenous food items and art. The shop (located within Nipsis Café) serves as a supportive hub for entrepreneurs by helping to launch businesses that serve the needs of the Collective (e.g. a t-shirt printing business, a framing business, a photography studio). In addition, it provides opportunities for the Nipsis Café to sell specialty packaged food item such as, Indian Popcorn, medicinal teas and preserves.
As the ‘testing grounds’ for newly developed products, the longer term goal is to market and sell on-line and in gift stores and tourist destinations across Canada.
